Dive into the fascinating story of this talented artist .
Can you share the story of how you first became drawn to the Violin and the journey of learning it ?
I was born and brought up in Neyveli where my journey with music started . Music has been an integral part of my family . My mother ( Padma N ) sings and has been trained for quite a number of years in Carnatic music , My grandfather ( Ranganathan Rao ) used to be a harmonium artist . My parents took the efforts to train me to play the violin and my brother ( Rakesh Kumar ) to play the mridangam at a very young age . My mother used to take me to concerts and help me identify ragas and swaras . When I was in my tenth grade , My father ( Mr . Nagendran ) was very particular that I leave to Chennai and learn violin seriously . This decision , I would say is one of the biggest blessings in my life . I moved to Chennai and did my high school over there and joined violin classes as well . This is when I actually started to develop some serious interest and passion for Carnatic music and the instrument . I would like to credit my parents entirely for making that decision .
