CHROMATICS
THE FUNDAMENTAL 12 TONE SYSTEM
Music is a language. It has parts that make up
the whole, and those parts are made of even
smaller parts. In languages, sentences are
made of smaller words, music works the same
way. You learn the alphabet then put those
pieces together to make musical phrases and
then put those together to make a song.
The more one’s musical skills grow, the more
rewarding it is to develop one’s musical
theoretical skills as well. Ideally, music theory
connects four fields of study, namely: hearing,
reading, singing, and writing.
Since a lot of students undertaking the study
of music have a hardship comprehending
music at first go, and want the fundamental
knowledge that they need to make the most
of music school, the basic theory of Chromatics
is simplified for these aspiring musician so that
they can live their dreams. This is common
knowledge that every musician should have.
The chromatic system is the most popular
theory of music followed in the western style.
