You are now signed on with one of India ’ s most popular labels T-Series . How does that feel ?
The feeling of working with T series is nothing more than a dream come true . The people the team everyone is so supportive and cool like literally cool and very welcoming .
Tell us about your latest release “ Adhoore Hum ”. How did it come about ?
Adhoore hum was an idea that started in covid and took me about 16 months to complete , the hunt for the perfect voice ended after gajendra verma sang the track and it was what exactly was missing in the track .
What are your views on the Independent music scene in India ? How do you think it can be better ?
Independent music scene is at boom today . Artists like us got recognisation because of the independent work we have done . I dont think theres any better time than today to come out as musicians and artists . There are too many good acts and artists out there but i feel the lack of professional managements and resources is where the scene lacks a bit .
How important is collaboration to you ? Talk to us about the collaborations on this track .
Collabs bring multi genres , cultures and variations in my music . Putting in kutle khan with adarsh rao is one such example . So this track is sung by Gajendra verma and adarsh rao , penned by utsavi and the musical bits and arrangement are mine . Further mix mastered by yash tiwari and ayan dey .
Your music is known to resonate with younger audiences . What ’ s your secret sauce ?
Haha i wish there was a sauce i swear i wouldve used it myself . My music is all about experimentation and the keen interest to make something new and fresh . Its always a risky business when you dont do it the convential way but i think its worth it .
Briefly talk to us about the gear you use for music .
I use Ableton as my daw , i have genelec and yamaha studio monitors , a novation drum pad and some guitar amps .
