BOING GOES IMMERSIVE

WITH GENELEC

Founded in 2013 by Mayur Tekchandaney and Jiten Solanki , Mumbai ’ s BOING Studios has created an enviable client list of advertising production houses . But with business booming , the need for more studio space became increasingly urgent , so BOING took the enforced disruption of the COVID pandemic to create two new Genelec-powered studios on a separate floor within their existing building , catering for both stereo and immersive projects .
Designed by the legendary Sam Toyoshima , the original BOING complex accommodated 2 suites – the flagship Studio One production space , powered by Genelec 1038CFs complemented by a 7071A subwoofer , and the workhorse Studio Two – designed to deal with down edits , versions and occasional tracking .
The two brand new rooms include Studio Three , built as an exact clone of Toyoshima ’ s Studio One , but with a Genelec Smart Active Monitoring system comprised of slimline 1238DF three-way main monitors paired with a 7380A subwoofer . But the BOING team went further and took the opportunity to build another vertical in their business model by creating the Atmos HE compatible Studio Four , to complement their bread-and-butter work and handle both OTT and advertising projects .
