Milton Hershey was born in a poor family and could not afford any type of proper schooling. But Hershey always had a dream of making candies. In 1878, he left home on his own and started on his candy company in a Philadelphia suburb. Six year later, his inexperienced enterprise failed, and he moved to Denver where he learned to specialize in caramel. With this new technology, Hershey traveled to New York City where he start another business. Which later on failed once again. Hershey returned to Philadelphia in 1886, where he began his third business: the Lancaster Caramel Company. Hershey was soon running a successful enterprise that employed more than 1,400 workers and delivered caramel all over the globe. However, Hershey sold his Lancaster Caramel Company in 1900 for a million dollar and moved on to focus on chocolate.

In 1903, Hershey restarted in his birthplace, Derry Church. He invented his own original milk chocolate bar and in 1903, he broke ground. In 1907, Hershey launched productrdable chocolate gifts on Valentine’s Day. Soon. Milton Hershey died in 1945; and when he did, his birthplace was renamed Hershey, Pennsylvania in his honor. The Hershey Chocolate Company continues to evolve after his death and which now a range of his product lies at houses around the world.
