If you can safely say that you love the holidays, then you’re aware that the recipes that come with the season are a reason to love it. And who can blame you? All those delicious spices, mixtures of sweet and savory, phenomenal desserts and treats, really make original holiday recipes different from any other, and since I am well aware of how much everybody loves holiday food, I’m going to share with you all, my most favorite recipe for this season. This recipe is a classic and simple holiday dessert, but be warned as you might crave it all year long.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans, divided

Cooking spray

1 cup marshmallows

How To Make It:

Step 1: Preheat Oven to 375 degrees

Step 2: Place the sweet potatoes in a dutch and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until very tender, Drain; Let cool slightly.

Step 3: Place potatoes in a large a large bowl. Add Sugar and next three ingredients (through vanilla). Mash sweet potatoes mixture with a potato masher or anything you have available. Fold in ¼ cup pecans. Scrape potato mixture into an even layer in a 11x7 inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining pecans and top with as many marshmallows as your heart desires. Bake at 376 for 25 minutes or until golden
