Tinder is a very well known and quick location based dating app. Tinder is a straightforward app to use and is built around the concept of swiping and matching with other people. To match you with others, it uses your interests as well as your Facebook and Spotify profiles. The app was launched back in 2012 and has changed drastically over time.

Josh Avsec, 22, and Michelle Arendas, 21, two Kent State students, met and talked on Tinder for about three years without ever seeing or meeting each other. If you call what they had a conversation, that is.

Their strange and funny love story became public after Josh Avsec tweeted out a picture of their conversations. Their exchange of words went back and forth with month-long to year-long intervals in between them, giving random and silly excuses for the delay and inactivity.

Ever since the tweet of the conversations was made public, the couple has been getting a lot of positive feedback and a drastic amount of new twitter followers. Almost every comment is asking “When will you get married?” or is screaming

“JUST DATE ALREADY!!”

Tinder contacted the couple through Twitter and offered to pay for a destination trip anywhere in the world the couple decided on. The two picked Maui for their first date, and Twitter responded with, "Aloha! We're sending you to Maui, but you can't take two years to pack your bags!"

The two finally met on TV on the morning news show, Good Morning America, where they were both dressed in something blue, which often represents love in a relationship according to the commonly spoken Wedding verse, “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue.”

“Michelle, it’s so good to finally meet you,” spoke a blushing Josh when the two finally met and exchanged hugs.

Recently Josh tweeted out about the upcoming trip and said “I am overjoyed to announce that in just six short days, I will be on my dream vacation, spending time with some great company”

We’ll be hearing more about their trip very soon.
