Water, H2O, is an essential need for the human body. It is the most important aspect of nutrition for any living organism. The adult human body consists of 60% of water, while a fetus is 100%; but the water percentage starts dropping the moment the baby is born. June 23rd is another unofficial holiday that celebrates National Hydration Day. This day intents to remind everyone the importance of drinking water. Even though you don’t feel thirsty, your body will need a sip of water regularly throughout the day. Scientist, researchers, and nutritionists recommend following the 8x8 rule. The standard promotes the consumption of 8 eight ounces of water per day, equivalent to 2 liters or half a gallon of water.
