Away, Away, Away from

Danger's Way

We all want to be safe either out and about or at home. We teach our kids and ourselves to always be safe. However, being safe isn’t just about being out the way of dangerous people, National Safety Month encourages us to stay safe from all types of dangers whether it's emotional or physical. Throughout the month of June, people are advised to stay safe and do things to prevent any harm from coming to anyone.

During the summer, it's good to remember to be on guard and to do activities safely. The month of June separates its four weeks into different safety topics. Week one is about standing up to falls which mean to work out the legs, so one doesn't fall over. Week one is geared towards older people. The second week is about focusing on fatigue and drinking water and getting enough sleep to prevent it. The third week is learning about active shooters. Learning about how to get out of a situation with an active shooter is a huge part of being safe in that situation. The final week focuses on workplace safety and being more efficient. All of these help us to improve our security and health at home and work.
