- Sadly, the Granite City Gladiators and Glasgow Stealth will not be taking part in the league this year.
- The Premiership will see the Glasgow Honey Badgers compete for the first time. The team will consist of elite players from Glasgow University, Glasgow City, and Stirling University.

League News
- This season Strathclyde University, nicknamed the Spartans, have decided to enter the league as an independent team. The Spartans first match will be against their former teammates from sister club Glasgow City.
- Neither Aberdeen City or Aberdeen University will compete in the Championship this year but will hopefully merge to enter a squad into the League Cup & MacRobert Invitational.
- The 2013/14 winners, St Andrews University, won't compete as they wish to focus on other competitions.
