The Scoop November 2016 | Page 8

Together we are stronger

As we all know, every four years we get to elect a new president. It has been about 227 years since our first president, George Washington, was elected in 1789. The recent election, November 8th, the nation elected our 44th president. We could also argue that is our 45th president, since Grover Cleveland was counted as both the 22nd and 24th President. As further notice, the two main political parties that were against each other are: the Democrats, led by Hillary Clinton and the Republicans, by Donald Trump. Both candidates offered good proposals, some of them were better than others. For these upcoming years, America will be led by Donald Trump, winner of the 2016 elections.
