Story behind our cover
April Fools is most often celebrated in the Western world compared to any other region of the globe. There exists only theories for its origin and the most accepted theory is that when France changed their New Years in 1584 to January 1st, people still celebrated it on the original day of April 1st. Those who still celebrated on the former holiday were called "April Fool(s)". Although April Fools was well established before this time, so it may not be at all true. One of the most common pranks to play on other people was to have them do a "fool's errand" where they search for something that doesn't exist and others include making other people believe in something false. Like a fox (the cover of this zine), people are often more cunning and willing to pull tricks on this day.
