Dr. Newberg found when he was measuring
the Sufi masters. The feelings of separateness
were vastly decreased, as were feelings of
negativity and doubt. This all pointed to a kind
of ecstatic state of oneness and connection,
feeling much bigger as part of the Universe.
The miraculous part of it is that people in
Power of Eight groups reach that state without
years of practice and discipline.
Recently, I asked Lynne when I interviewed her
for this article, about the division that is now
occurring between people, between religions,
between race and sex and especially between
politically parties... "What should be the intention?" Her answer was incredibly profound in that we need to
set the intention for not only peace but to find common ground in which to build on. If we can take the
common ground and send that intention, then not only would there be a change in these divisions, but also a
change within each participant. Perhaps even a new acceptance of all differing viewpoints could be
obtained.
The bottom line? When we take the focus off of ourselves with the intention to help others, everyone shifts.
This is one of the most amazing discoveries of all time and it was through Lynne McTaggart's investigative
skills that we are now able to live the phenomenon of peace and harmony with all.
