individual perspective , but when dealing with humanity the perspective shifts to that of a team effort . Whether engaging in an individual or team effort , we must aim high enough to drive our desire to become the best we can imagine . This will allow each of us to obtain that sense of satisfaction we crave , which in essence is our craving for spiritual growth . It is a growth that can be achieved through our desires to make improvements in who we are and it is a growth that comes from helping others .
Our need to see ourselves and humanity progress and become who we want to be is what love is about . I come from an understanding that love is the engine that will drive us forward . However , I have observed that much of what we do does not come from a center of love . I hope to impress upon you that our current unloving behaviors do not drive us forward ; but have caused us to become stuck in the mud .
During my life I have striven to listen and understand other points of view , which I accept when I decide they will work for me . It is important not to judge the beliefs of others . They have their beliefs , as we have ours . Each of us decides for ourselves , as we cannot decide for others - no matter how hard we try . It is a matter of personal heartfelt choice . While we try to logically think through our beliefs , I believe it is about how we feel . It is our emotions and feelings that drive us . We can justify our beliefs with our mind , but if we do not feel excited and joyous about our beliefs , we should let them go . Often our minds clutter our belief path and we become undecided . When this occurs I suspend making a decision until I am able to feel my truth . I have come to realize that diverse discussions on issues of spirituality are needed for any of us to progress as individuals . Our spirituality and our beliefs are gifts from God , which we develop emotionally at the deepest personal levels . Life is about change , and it is true that what I understood ten years ago is not what I understand today .
Let me clarify that statement . At the center of who I am , my heart if you will , has not changed . My foundation has always been and still is , my core drivers of love , joy , unity , understanding , freedom , and faith . How I endeavor to become each of these and make them the essence of who I am has changed over time . This is what I mean when I state how understandings evolve throughout life and we must be prepared to alter our beliefs as a result . Nevertheless , I believe my feelings , faith and core drivers are my foundation of who I am . These core drivers are at the center of us all . Our emotional body yearns for them at a personal level and in our better moments , we desire them for each other .
I understand how our core drivers have nothing to do with beliefs and yet at the same time they have everything to do with beliefs . Every one of us has a different understanding and uses different words to explain why love , joy , unity , understanding , and freedom are essential for a joyous existence . At the base of our understandings is how we feel in our heart . It is who we are and who we endeavor to become that is important , not the road we travel . I believe it is who you are that will lead you to a higher level of spirituality and not what you claim to practice . We are in the middle of a time where Universal energies are pushing hard for the evolution of the humanity .
None of us have all the answers but for me that does not matter . We need to recognize our problems first , ask our questions , formulate solutions that feel joyous and then move forward . Humankind , you and I will always create experiences from which we may expand who we are . The turmoil , anger and hatred that seems to be prevalent in so many societies today is no accident . I know this has been said many times before but it is nonetheless true : we need to learn from our mistakes in order to move forward . Humanity is finally becoming aware of the importance of this statement .
