One of the keys to successful relationships is a mutual respect . I think this is true in all relationships . We may not always like or agree with someone . I believe if you respect them , you can more easily resolve conflicts . I ' ve found that active listening , understanding perspectives and knowing what they want is key to creating win-win results .

Like many people , I ' ve had my share of challenges including cancer four times , divorce , layoff , death , grief , being a family caregiver , career change , domestic violence , depression , financial ruin , and more . My mindset , faith and courage allowed me to keep going and choose life . I knew that my legacy was bigger than any challenge . From that space , I created an opening for hope and healing . Courage pushes us through and smashes any obstacle .
