So many great bands have come and gone, but this bands ability to reach a global audience is what truly sets them apart. The public wants to believe in the American Dream and The Saville Band personifies The American Dream. For so long the American audience has grown jaded and cynical, sometimes the simplest things can still touch you. Sometimes the common man is not too far from reaching the stars.
The band came together in a very unique way; it was quite the journey that nearly circles the globe. The founding member Martin Saville just finished up being a street performer in Chicago and was discovered by a musical director from Stages Repertory Theater. Meeting this director opened up an opportunity for Mr. Saville in Houston, and so the quest began. Doing these live musical theater plays gave Mr. Saville the experience and exposure he needed to move forward to forming this great band. At the time Mr. Saville had very little funds living day to day and struggling to survive as musicians.
California was next on the agenda for Martin Saville. He then began to rub shoulders with music giants such as Kanye West, Suge Knight, and U2. Although these endeavors were only dead ends for the aspiring artist, it was the meeting of actor Orlando Brown that changed everything for Martin Saville. After being invited to an event that Orlando Brown was hosting Martin had a chance to meet Dushant Smith. Once the two had met the negotiations had begun over the past months for best plan of action for the artist. They put together a deal that best suited both parties, Martin agreed to work with Smith Smart Entertainment LLC to bring together what is now known as The Saville Band.
Smith Smart Entertainment LLC was founded in April 2014. The label was founded in Missouri which is how Martin Saville came about meeting his talented band mates. Founder Dushant Smith desires to bring new artist together to network together and help them reach that next level of success in the music industry. Originally the label came about because Mr. Smith was inspired by a talented 14 year old whom he met overseas in Kosovo who sang so amazingly he felt compelled to try to help her reach her upmost potential. Dushant Smith became the person who would believe in theses artist when no other would and gave them the opportunity and chance to realize their musical goals. Smith Smart Entertainment can only best be described as global as they have a collection of artists all over the globe. In the long run the ultimate goal of the label is to get their artists such as The Saville Band a great foundation and allowing them to create that buzz that get them signed to a major record label. Dushant Smith has managed to create an environment to nurture the talents of up and coming acts so they can better hone their craft. Sooner or later we can expect The Saville Band taking those next steps in that road to success.
