Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Head of Drama Head of Drama Ms. Kelly saw Drama students excel on stage, an excerpt from which was chosen for the Premier’s Concert starring Head Boy, William Finnerty.

The Performing Arts trip to Stratford, Ontario in September enabled Drama students to further their knowledge of theatre and use these Productions for coursework evaluation.

Saltus is once again gearing up for Christmas with the Annual Carols for All event, a foundation Christmas concert and students entertaining all over the island, from morning rush hour at Buei to the lighting of the Corporation of Hamilton's Christmas tree. Mrs. Fox continues to prepare students to perform at many Community events throughout the year and is shortly producing the Upper Primary show, A Pirate Christmas. Mr. Guerrard is again writing and producing his show, Let it Snow for the Lower Primary Department.

String playing continues to flourish under the direction of Ms. Haslam and was further extended this year with the introduction of an Intermediate Ensemble, named Stringendo. This group now has four double bass players who we hope to see incorporated into the Senior Orchestra in the future.

As a Department we continue to be exceptionally proud of the fine results that these students achieve. To be such accomplished performers at this age requires self-discipline, determination and sacrifice.

So in the spirit of the Season, join with us in celebrating the accomplishments of the future generation as we wish you all a wonderful Christmas.
