Safe AS is the Children and Young People’s team at Cardiff Women’s Aid. We work with children and young people aged 0 - 25, regardless of gender, race, sexuality or culture, who have experienced or witnessed Domestic Abuse during their lives. This can be within the family home or within their own relationships.
We offer direct support through 1:1 sessions and also hold several groups in our service so children and young people can understand their experiences. We also support parents after domestic abuse, and equip parents with the tools
they need to support their child through their experiences. In addition to direct support from an allocated worker, we also provide advocacy through difficult periods, including CP conferences, court cases and periods of transition (such as moving house or moving schools etc.)
