Twining was , however , concerned about Edson , who was “ terribly fatigued and glassy-eyed .” Twining recommended that the Division Reserve ( the 2nd Battalion 5th Regiment ) relieve Edson , but an air raid prevented the 2 / 5 from moving until after dark .
