Astonishing Views and Incredible History: Kourion Archaeological Site Located on the west coast of Limassol, in the small town of Episkopi, Kourion was an ancient city of great importance for Cyprus. In present, the archaeologi- cal remains of Kourion are one of the island’s most important historical places. The Acropolis and all archaeological re- mains within the area are listed as a UN- ESCO World Heritage Site. The most important monuments at the site are the Agora, the House of Achilles, the House of the Gladiators, the Theatre, the Baths and the Complex of Eustolios, the Early Christian Basilica, the Sanctu- ary of Apollo Hylates, the Stadium and the Small Basilica. In addition to its historical importance and many significant discoveries that can be seen at the site, Kourion is also famous for fascinating views, a charm- ing beach as well as crystal clear waters.
