FEATURING LONELY

You guys met Lonely when I interviewed the since disassembled Gorgeous Records. He was the young nigga with the big head who was too funny to have a serious conversation with. Well two months later, nothing has really changed. I lost my SD card with their video interview on it, so you just had to take my word for it in September. Well now, you can see for yourselves how much of a fool he is. I had already contacted Lone weeks ago to see when we could plan an interview, but that night it just happened. I had literally just interviewed Heze Le Flair like an hour ago, and then him and his team dipped off to make it to a show, where Lone was also set to perform.
So I contemplated going for about 20 minutes. My phone was on 25 %, I didn’ t really know if there was going to be good lighting to record, and I was tired from the interview I just did. Regardless, I decided to boss up and go get another interview, and I could also get footage for their interviews in the process.
Moments later I’ m in a Lyft, and I’ m abruptly being told that this is my stop. I didn’ t really know where I was going in all honesty, so I’ m telling the driver like nah man this can’ t be it. Nonetheless it was, and ya boy got out the car. Luckily there’ s a lot of people outside, which is a strong indication that this is the place. I walk in, and immediately I’ m being pressed for $ 5. I don’ t mind, it’ s a part of the experience, so I pull out my card to be told my least favorite words in the world:“ Cash Only.” So now I’ ve got to find an ATM, and I don’ t even know where I am. Keep in mind that it is also 10 something, and I’ m walking around Atlanta with a nice ass camera basically wearing a sign that says“ Rob Me.” Luckily, as I’ m leaving Lone spots me and says watsup and that he’ ll be ready for the interview after his performance. It works with me, so I head to the CVS down the street, so I could get cash back. And let me just say, whoever’ s idea it was at CVS to do $ 5 cash backs is the GOAT. But yeah, I’ m back at the venue now, and I pay my entry fee and get ready to record some footage.
Nope. None of that. The lighting was pure ass, with nothing my but ready lights, and not even a lot of space around performers. So I just chill and watch the show. Sadly, I don’ t even know who was performing due to the fact that it was almost pitch black and there were no announcements as to who was on the mic. I wasn’ t impressed with the up and comers, but it wasn’ t entirely their fault. Time passed until it was time for Heze and Lone to do a joint set.
Everything that happened next was a total bur. The DJ started playing“ Spook” while I tried to manipulate the red light into giving me good footage. Nope. None of that. And then everything just went crazy. I’ m still mad I didn’ t get any of it on camera. Lone basically says“ Fuck this weak ass function, I’ m out!” and puts the mic down and storms out, with Heze following suit and also calling the party lame. The DJ blamed the unlitness on them, and people was officially ready to fight. And that’ s exactly what people got ready to do.
Somehow, we all made it through the hate and craziness that aspired, and we ended up filming all of Lone’ s venting directly behind the venue. His venting was ignorant as hell, but there were some valuable gems in there as well. At the end of the day, everything was good, and the interview came with authenticity, humor, and a crazy ass story.
