Kylee vs. Kikuchi

Kylee Davis first
experienced a mysterious
disease that brought
lesions, long, sustained
fevers, and joint and body
pain as a second-grader
at Barksdale Elementary
in 2008. But this painful
disease came back with a
vengeance this year and he
was finally diagnosed with
Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease.
His mother Felicia Davis
is struggling to make ends
meet while taking on the
full-time duty of hospital
visits and research to find
a treatment for her son’s
suffering. The Conyers
Middle School sixth
grader dreams of someday
attending the Savannah
College of Art and Design.
