STEAM career day at
Shoal Creek Elementary
Shoal Creek Elementary celebrated all things STEAM – Science, Technology,
Engineering, Arts, Mathematics – with STEAM Career Day on Monday, March 16.
Students heard from dozens of professionals in engineering, education, wildlife,
music, journalism, medicine, law enforcement and more. Fifth graders made
presentations on iPads about various career fields and presented it to fourth
graders in a job-fair atmosphere. The day culminated with “STEAM, The Musical”
where the pop tunes of the day were transformed into messages of pursuing
