What can we expect from Thane Dunn in 2014?

A lot more travel. My father passed away three years ago, so I’ve been staying close to home base. I love my family so it was important for me to be close to home. Next year, I’ll be on the road more. I’ve learned so much this past year in areas of technique and choreography. People, who came to see us a year ago, will see a whole new show. I work at this every day. You’ll never see the same show twice. The day it becomes repettive or I stop raising the bar will be the day I hang up my white leather boots. (laughs)

Do you have any advice for up and coming performers / singers?

“Guard what you do! So many people, who could be successful, just give it away. You can’t be playing every bar in town. If the quality is there, take it to the next level. When I first started, I played in a bar and afterwards I decided, I’ll never do that again. I moved it into a theatre setting. You’ve got to take it beyond the bar scene. Also, be careful who you listen to. Like that famous song says, it’s a vicious game."
