edith elf ’ s 2020 adventure
Stewarton team ’ s new children ’ s book will
raise funds for the Ayrshire Samaritans .
With the Covid19 pandemic taking over our lives , four current and former Stewartonians felt it was time to write and produce a new ‘ Edith Elf ’ story . This is the fourth in the series , and ‘ Edith Elf ’ s 2020 Adventure ’ is magical , fun , and beautifully illustrated . It will also gently help young children ( age 3-8 ) to understand what ' s going on .
The team all give their time and skills free , and all Edith Elf books raise money for local charities . Charities which have previously benefited include SANDS , the British Heat Foundation , and Stewarton Woodland Action Trust ( SWAT ). This time , the team decided that all profits after printing costs will go to The Ayrshire Samaritans , because of the worry and distress being experienced by so many people .
The book is written by Pauline McCreadie ( ne Halliday ), illustrated by Rachel Redfern , and edited and produced by Jim and Alice Muir ( ne McKie ).
The new book is well underway and hopefully will be ready for sale in the near future , and can be posted to you in the UK or abroad .
