In the Golf Competition hosted by Stewarton Golf Club at Caprington , congratulations went to winner Alex Wilson and runner-up Billy Smith !
The week was then brought to its traditional close with a ( pre-recorded ) laying of the wreath at the war memorial by Corsehill Queen Freya McInnes , First Courtier Peter Niven and Bonnet Guild President Hugh Gillies .
In addition to the popular online and outdoor activities , gala week was also marked with the erection of bunting in the town and the commemorative Corsehill Queen sign at the Queen Elect ’ s house .
On gala day itself ( Saturday 19th June ), President Hugh Gillies gave a popular Facebook Live address from the grounds of John Knox Church . Corsehill Queen Freya McInnes and First Courtier Peter Niven were led by piper Stewart Allan to join Hugh and their respective families at the front of the church where they each were presented with a personalised commemorative balloon . Freya also received a bouquet of flowers whilst Peter enjoyed some chocolates .

The Bonnet Guild are currently liaising with East Ayrshire Council and Police Scotland to determine when and where it might be possible to hold a rescheduled official crowning ceremony . In the meantime keep a close eye on the Bonnet Guild Facebook page for all the latest updates .
Our thanks also go to Oven who very kindly offered each of the Court a free pizza and drink by way of congratulations , and to The Book Nook for the generous Book Tokens they gifted to every member of the Court .
All members of this year ’ s Court also had their ‘ virtual moment in the spotlight ’ with their photographs and interviews being published on the Bonnet Guild Facebook page during the course of Gala Week . Bonnet Guild Pageants co-convenor Carol Jenkins also delivered a personalised commemorative balloon to each of the Court on gala day .
