T his year got off to a busy but successful start for 16yr old Emilia Faulkner, GB Pistol shooter from Stewarton. January saw Emilia off to Austria as part of the GBR shooting team. She was not only the only Scottish Pistol shooter but the only junior on the team. She didn't disappoint, winning gold in the Meyton Cup in Innsbruck setting a new GB junior record and a Scottish Woman's and junior record. Leaving the snow behind, the team made the short trip on to Munich for the H and N cup. Unfortunately, Emilia suffered a major equipment failure but still managed to secure 6th place out of a field of 60 in a major international competition against some of the best junior shots in the world. Day 3 was silver with a nail-biting final between Scotland and Belarus with Emilia missing out on gold by one point. Emilia once again broke the British record this time in The Hague setting another new GB(and Scottish!) Junior Record.
