girls football academy - run by active schools
Its run by myself and another female coach who are both certified SFA
coaches, and what our club is about is the beginning stages of getting
the girls involved in football, we do play games at our group but not in a
competitive nature, we have had girls who have come along and now joined
local professional teams, so it's a little stepping stone for them before they
join a team atmosphere.
It has been a flourishing club that has been running from over 3 years in the
local community, and this year we have had enormous interest from girls
joining aged between 5 and 12.
We train every Wednesday from 6 -7pm at the Stewarton Sports Centre,
the girls don’t need any experience to join, come along and have some fun,
you never know your little girl could be the next star of women’s football.
If you have any questions please to ask Gordon Allan the active schools
coordinator who oversees the club, [email protected]
The coaches are Catriona Maloney, pictured below on far left and Megan
Jonboy Sim on the far right.
This picture was when we took our girls football team to their first Scotland
Women’s football game on the 10th of June 2018.
S
tewarton Annick Girls FC will start their inaugural
season on Saturday 1st March. We will be entering 1
team at Under 13 level and 2 teams at U11 level. Both
will be playing 7-a-side.
Everyone at the club is so excited about the start to our first
season following months of hard work to set up and register
the club with the SWFA. Our coaches have been working
hard to earn coaching badges as well as training the girls
and the U13s have played some pre-season friendlies,
including their first ever match against Dalry Rovers.
If your girl would like to join our team please come along
to training on a Thursday night from 6-7.30pm on the
AstroTurf at Stewarton Sports Centre.
Friendly and personal
service since 2002.
We are constantly
evolving, seeking out new
designs and labels to
bring to our customers.
