Both units run every Thursday evening from 6pm to 7pm in the John Knox church hall the age range of the girls is 5 to 7 year olds. Kilmaurs Everyone from babies to Grandparents is welcome to come along to Messy Church! St. Maurs-Glencairn Church host Messy Church sessions promoting creativity, celebration and hospitality. At the end of each month from 4-6pm in Kilmaurs Community Centre, families can enjoy participating in a variety of games, arts and crafts, music and story-telling. A session typically starts with a welcome followed by a creative time to explore a biblical theme. Afterwards there is a short celebration time involving a story, prayer or song before the session concludes with a light sit-down supper. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult. Kilmaurs Messy Church celebrates its 4th birthday this spring and to mark the occasion, the April session will take place in the Church. Beaver Scouts Three Beavers received their Bronze Awards from the District Commissioner, Brian Goldie. This award is the highest award for Beavers. The three Beavers are Leo Gaitens, Joshua Reilly and Carter Beaton. The Scouts held their Burns Supper on Friday 31st January, invited guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The Scouts helped with the cooking, compered the event and provided entertainment. Thomas Sloan, the Group Scout Leader did the Immortal Memory. The Group is still looking for Leaders for the Monday Beavers, Cub and Scout Sections. If anyone can help please contact Thomas Sloan on 01560 482407. Training will be provided. The Scout Group is holding a Coffee Morning in St Columba's Church Hall on Saturday March 28th 10.00am- 12.00. There will be craft stalls, home baking, raffles and the usual tea and coffee. The Scout Group would like to thank the people of Stewarton for their generous contributions to the Santa Float at Christmas. This is our biggest fund-raising event and will help with roof repairs to our ageing building.
