HOCKEY UPDATE

Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved with the pitch and the club , hockey in Stewarton continues to go from strength to strength - we have over 30 juniors attending our Wednesday night training , boosted with Active Schools ' Come and Try ' club on Fridays . We are working with Scottish Hockey and Active Schools to build on the progression and are looking to get some games / tournaments organised for juniors soon and get some training in place for coaching and umpiring .

Any Volunteers ?

To help us reach our goals , we are looking for your help - if you are able to spare some time to help out with admin , as a parent helper or with coaching or umpiring , please get in touch , it ' s a great club to be part of . We will help with organising PVG ' s and training relevant to the roles .

Club Success

A huge well done to 2 of our older juniors - Lucy Nelson ( U15 ) and Amy Scott ( U16 ) have been selected for the District squads , with Amy now progressing into Scottish Hockey ' s BRAVE Academy . Hopefully many more of our juniors will follow down this path in the future .
Both girls now play with the ladies team , helping the team to hold their own in the top half of the league this season along with the help of new coach , Wendy Justice . The ladies team train on a Monday and Wednesday night .
