Rascals Out of School Care is a childcare service during the hours of 7:30am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm every weekday within the Nether Robertland Primary School , Stewarton . It offers out of school care for all children aged 3 to 16 years old regardless of the school they attend . Rascals began in August 1995 and is a registered charity and a SCIO ( Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation .) Parents of children who currently attend Rascals volunteer as charity trustees and form the parent committee team . This helps achieve our homely and close community atmosphere for the children to experience whilst spending time with us .
Rascals has access to our main room where craft activities and resources are available for each child to choose and lead their own play . We have access to the gym hall which provides plenty of physical exercise and
sports opportunities as well as the outdoor school grounds which creates endless play opportunities for the children . The children also work together to create suggestion lists with the breakfast food and afternoon snacks we provide . The children are always at the centre of everything we do !
Rascals also offers holiday childcare which we call Playscheme which operates during the hours of 8am to 6pm .
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions , we are currently unable to offer trips outside of Stewarton , but we organise themed days , with our children ’ s suggestions , and make great use of the local community , including shopping trips , wood walks and local parks .
One of our most popular themed days recently has been Circus Day , where the children tried everything from juggling to tight rope walking ! We are passionate about implementing an equal , nurturing and positive service where our children can celebrate each other and develop strong relationships with others and our team of dedicated practitioners !

Tuesday Night is Dancing Night ! No need for parents to run to different classes on different days , most of our classes are combined so children can learn all their styles without the stress of running various nights of the week !
