Autem was formed as part of the Westfab group , with the goal of manufacturing cost-effective vacuum-powered lifting machines which will improve health & safety , while increasing productivity and efficiency in the workplace .
Autem Vacuum Lifters are all battery powered and require no installation . This makes them extremely user friendly , affording greater flexibility than other machines . The lifting power and capacity is incredible , thanks to the state-of-the-art vacuum pumps .
All of their engineered products are strong , safe and efficient . Autem is currently undergoing the process of attaining its CE / UKCA certification mark . This means you can guarantee the quality and safety of each and every machine . Everything Autem manufactures goes through rigorous testing to ensure its quality .
At the moment Autem is concentrating on offering 3 units : the HR1000 , ST300 and Autem TT , but larger units are available . The ST is a small unit for lifting and laying slabs , perfect for private use . The other machines lift heavier loads , making them perfect for use on any industrial site . Maintenance of Autem machines is minimal and parts can be easily sourced and changed .
Autem also has the capability to build bespoke vacuum machines for customers . All machines are available for sale or hire . Using the machines is simple , with both the suction and release achieved in mere seconds . This allows a user to effortlessly lift steel , wood , pipes , GPR panels , garden slabs and more .

( SC049917 ), were excited to move to our new Shop , on Lainshaw Street , right in the centre of the town . It ’ s a great spot with a car park behind for dropping off donations at our back door .
Although we ’ ve not been able to open as much as we would like we are looking forward to a future when we can support individuals and build local community .
We aim to be a place for everyone – so whether you are visiting for the first time or are a regular visitor , you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome . Our aim is to help people in need in our local community . We do this by providing a dependable source of good quality items at low prices ( you never know what you ’ re going to find when you visit ). This also has environmental and ethical benefits . New resources are not used in the creation of goods and selling second-hand goods prevents them going to landfill . Reusing goods means outsourced sweatshop labour is not involved in the creation of new stock . All clothing that cannot be sold is recycled .
We provide free school uniforms , baby boxes and kids clothes to anyone who needs them . All our profits are donated to projects that help local people in need – during the pandemic this has mainly focused on food poverty with donations going to East Ayrshire Foodbank .
We would like to thank all our supporters who shop with us and donate to us . Without your donations we wouldn ’ t exist .
