wanted to pursue that aspect of my
life.”
Still a photography fan, Munoz
sees the profits of both film and
digital.
“I believe there are benefits for
both digital and film photography,”
Munoz said. “Students will most
likely use digital in the future in
their careers and everyday life, but
they were able to learn more indepth photography skills through
film.”
Students in the beginning photography class did not know about
the switch to digital before signing
up for the class.
“I was surprised when I learned
about the transformation,” said
sophomore Riley McKibbon. “But
I was pleased because everything is
digitizing these days.”
Riley’s older sister, senior
Courtney McKibbon, had mixed
feelings at first.
“I was excited to learn more
about film since I had never
worked with it before,” Courtney
said. “But I am grateful to learn
more about digital photography,
including my digital camera and
Photoshop. I believe these will be
skills that will prove useful in everyday life and in my future.”
Students are now allowed to use
their own personal cameras instead
of borrowing film cameras from the
school.
