Over 95 percent of all students at Ralston Valley have a Smartphone. More than 70 percent of those students have an iPhone. I guarantee you’ve heard of
Flappy Bird, but that spiked months ago. So what’s trending in Pop Culture right now? What apps are in? Glad you asked.
Twitter is a social networking site where people “tweet” short messages, up to 140 characters long, about what is going on in
their lives to their followers. Some choose to write quotes, musical lyrics, or everyday events on their profile.
Followers have the opportunity to either favorite, retweet or comment on these posts.
This communication makes it easier to converse with famous celebrities and keep up to date with their every move. Despite the

Sophomore, Cassidy Webber, says, “The twitter fights are hilarious.”
Grace Clarke adds in, “I follow celebrities and funny accounts.”
The newest “in” game to play right now is called Trivia Crack. Nearly 85 percent of RV students surveyed claimed that Trivia Crack was the goto-game that is opened the most on their phones.

learning.”

and more conveniently over the web. One can post an anonymous joke to this social media site and it can go viral. People are able to
upvote and downvote what is “good” and what is not, leading to easy feedback about the kind of posts the community is craving.
According to those surveyed, four out of five people use Instagram the most when compared to other social media sites.
Instagram is an app that allows users to post pictures of anything that interests them. There are many pages that are dedicated to photography and many other pages consisting of solemn selfies.
It’s a wide range of different types of art expressed over the internet that can be shared by a click of a button.
“It gives people expressive ways to show their personality through pictures,” said junior Joy Young.
Other RV students agree.
“I prefer Instagram because I think it’s a cool concept to share photos and show friends what you’re actual H
