To those of you who think, “Well, peanut
butter on a burger sounds delicious!”, let me
describe the taste to you.
On one hand, you have peanut butter,
which, by itself, is creamy, smooth and delicious.
On the other hand, you have a tender,
grilled-to-perfection burger with fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and a crunchy pickle. Once
again, delicious by itself.
When you combine these two masterpieces, you get a whole other monster.
A peanut butter burger is the gut-bomb
of the century. Creamy, salty, and nutty just
doesn’t go with a meaty, grizzled burger.
The official rules of the challenge were
to eat a four-pound, quadruple-patty burger,
slathered in peanut butter, four pieces of
melted cheese, eight slices of greasy bacon,
and mayonnaise all on a sesame seed bun.
Surrounding this monster of a burger is a
straight up pound of curly fries. All of this has

if I was going to be able to get the challenge
done within 30 minutes.
Starting with the top bun and working my
way down, I tried to tackle the burger, layer
by greasy layer.
By the end of layer two, the struggle bus
had arrived.
The contrast in taste had officially gotten to
my taste buds, and once again it was a grind
until the finish.
The third layer passed, and I decided that
it was time for a break in taste. I went for the
fresh vegetables that accompany every good
hamburger.
At this point there was just under a quarter of the burger, all of the fries, and only six
minutes left. I cut my goal down to finishing
the burger.
Time seemed to be speeding up as the last
layer and I battled it out; unfortunately I didn’t
win this one.
When the buzzer went off, there was half
a patty remaining, surrounded by the many
curly fries.
Although I didn’t finish the challenge, I
gained more e \
