Sophie Simpson takes on the role of netball Scotland ambassador
Sophie Simpson is sixteen years old and was one of fifteen girls successfully chosen to become a netball Scotland ambassador . One of Sophie ’ s tasks was to have a fundraiser and raise funds for a residential trip of £ 150 . Sophie decided to have a fun netball tournament with u15 and u17 girls from the local area , which included a raffle and a tombola . We were overwhelmed by the support of the local companies in Stewarton that donated raffle prizes . With support from family , friends and netball teams Sophie managed to raise £ 150 pounds for her residential and a fantastic £ 750 . Thank you to all the teams who came along to support , along with umpires , scorers , and spectators . Great day - well done ! Congratulations to St Cadocs U15s for winning the U15 tournament and Stewarton U17s for winning the U17 tournament . Great games from all the girls !
