1st Stewarton Boys ’ Brigade have offered a programme of activities throughout the various lockdowns and restrictions . We are now back attending every week – Wednesday for Anchors & Juniors and Fridays for Company & Seniors . We are starting to introduce events out with our normal night , gradually trying to increase the programme to offer the boys a fuller experience of what the Company have to offer . For example , we have had a Ten Pin night for Company & Seniors and a dress up theme morning for Anchors & Juniors . Our Battalion events have also started with our Anchors attending recently at the Newmilns Ski slope for
At the end of last session , we finished with a very unusual night where we had 2 separate presentations for both President & Queens Badges . The restrictions at the time limited the numbers we could have , but we managed to invite parents along to see the boys gain their awards . President ’ s and Queens are the top two major awards boys can work for . It was a great occasion and although slightly unusual , we felt was something we had to mark , with 6 President Badges & 9 Queens badges being presented .
All things being equal ( And with no further restrictions being out in place ) our intention is to deliver Christmas Cards again this year . This is a not only a fund raiser , but also a major service offered to the Community with last year being the first year since its inception in 1983 . The dates for the diary are Friday 10th to Sunday 12th December .
