stewarton yuletide evening returns for 2021

The highly-anticipated Stewarton Yuletide evening organised by Stewarton Initiatives will return later this month after last year ’ s event was cancelled due to the pandemic .

A limited number of stalls from local organisations and businesses will be set up in Avenue Square on November 25 from 6pm until 8pm .
Strict covid-19 protocols will be in place including a one way system around Avenue Square to ensure that we can comply with East Ayrshire Council guidelines .
Shops and business in the town will be able to open later and hold their own Yuletide shopping experience on the night .

Men ’ s Shed is open to all men regardless of age , ability and background . We offer you a warm welcome . Membership is free and we encourage you to work together on your own ideas or combined projects to benefit the community . We are sure you will be able to teach each other while making friends and sharing varied interests . Find us at 47 Lainshaw Avenue , Shortless , Kilmarnock , KA1 4RY . Opening Hours : Winter : Mon , Thur & Fri 10am – 2pm . Summer : Mon , Tue , Thurs & Fri 10am - 2pm . Call us on 01560 483600 or email Killiecancycle @ gmail . com

Unfortunately we are unable to have any entertainment this year due to the regulations , and the Christmas tree switch on will be held at an unannounced day and time to avoid crowds .
We would encourage all residents to come along on the night and support their local groups and businesses after a very difficult 18 months for our town ’ s traders .
The Stewarton Initiatives Lottery has gone from strength to strength and over 200 players are in the pot each month with each month ’ s winner currently taking home around £ 550 .
The same amount each month goes towards organisations and projects in Stewarton , and we have already awarded grants to groups including the Stewarton Scouts , Stewarton Bands Support Group and the Stewarton Rainbows .
Stewarton Initiatives is currently progressing with ambitious plans for the town ’ s cross area , and we will soon be renewing our five year action plan for the town .
You can find out more information about our work , the lottery and how you can get involved at www . stewartoninitiatives . com or find us on Facebook .
