Little Learners is an international children ’ s activity provider which offers educational messy play classes across the UK , Ireland and Australia . We use messy play as a context for supporting the development of babies through to preschoolers - 5 months to 5 years . Our innovative programme was developed by an experienced early years teacher . Every week children meet one of our four fun characters - ‘ The Mark Makers ’ who help us recognise and make patterns , which form all the letters and numbers .

Hi , my name is Alicja and I am the face behind Little Learners East Renfrewshire and East Ayrshire . I am delighted to be bringing these multi award-winning classes to Stewarton and Kilmaurs . A mum to a cheery and high-spirited 6-year-old boy and a lockdown baby girl , I have been a primary teacher for eleven years . After my maternity leave I decided to work part time , which has allowed me to start my new adventure with Little Learners !

My aim is to deliver warm , friendly and educational classes , where both children and adults feel welcome and valued . With lots of fun play ideas parents are be able to focus on interacting with their children and enjoying getting messy while also meeting other parents for a much needed adult company !

What I love about the classes is that they can be easily adapted to the needs of every child which allows them to learn and develop at their own pace . We encourage the children to use hands , fingers , feet and toes to make marks which will help to strengthen their core muscles and develop their gross and fine motor skills . These skills are vital for holding and controlling a pencil and letter and number formation when they reach school age .
