WINDOW ROCK, AZ – The
RESource is proud to host the
2014 Navajo Nation Presidential Forum at the Twin Arrows
Navajo Casino & Resort in
Flagstaff, Arizona, on Saturday,
August 2, 2014, at 4:00 PM
MST. As the Navajo Nation’s
premiere luxury casino, Twin
Arrows Navajo Casino is an appropriate location for this exclusive event that will attract young
Navajo professionals, elders
and entrepreneurs alike. This
forum will provide the seventeen Navajo Nation Presidential candidates the opportunity
to tell the Navajo voter why he
or she should be the next president of the Navajo Nation. The
general public is encouraged to
attend this free event.
Guests will be provided a front
row seat in Navajo politics as
the candidates have an opportunity to present their platforms
and respond to questions regarding the business future of
the Navajo Nation. It is the goal
of The RESource to educate
voters in identifying the right
person to lead us forward.
Burley Cole, Jr. and Isaac
Grant, both founders of The
RESource, said this event will
allow the candidates to highlight specific strategic goals and
objectives alongside their platforms.
“We acknowledge that many
businesses continue to encounter financial roadblocks
that can hinder growth. As a
Navajo-owned and operated
business, it is important to the
communities we serve to elect
the best leader come August
and November,” said Grant,
adding that there is much economic potential on Navajoland,
so it is frustrating to see businesses unnecessarily struggle.
“Our next president will impact
not only small businesses and
entrepreneurs, but our local
economies as well.”
The RESource is hosting this forum at the Twin Arrows Casino
and Resort in an effort to support and invest Navajo resources to spur Navajo business. It is
the goal of The RESource to allocate the profits to be awarded
exclusively to Navajo students
through a scholarship fund. The
forum proceeds will directly defray the cost of the facility rental,
food services, gift bags, adver-

The RESource is a free-monthly tabloid distributed in 75 locations across the Navajo Nation
and surrounding border towns.
The RESource continues to
showcase the everyday life of
Navajo people, share the story
of Native American role models,
and highlight the work of entrepreneurs and small businesses
located across Indian Country.
A press conference has been
scheduled with all the candidates before the forum at
4:30PM MST. Members of the
press and media are welcome
to attend. Press passes are
available.
