I received my Bachelors of Arts - Business (Communication) Degree from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. THAT WILL WELCOME OUR YOUNG PEOPLE HOME AND BECOME LEADERS AMONG OUR PEOPLE. What they will bring is essential to bridging the generational gap and bring- I was born in Tuba City, Arizona in the Western Agency of the Navajo Reservation. I was raised by my maternal grandparents and mother. Values such as integrity, gratitude, faith, love, compassion, hope, patience, hard work were woven into my soul by my grandmother’s traditional teachings, by my grandfather’s hardworking ethics and by the teachings of Christ learned from the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I worked on the campuses of colleges and universities where I studied. I worked in banks, with insurance companies, at an industrial water service company and in a casino. I learned that integrity, good work ethics, accountability, structure first, then the refinement of training, communication and teamwork are essential in building a foundation for a successful progression in all areas of life. I received my Associates of Art Business Accounting Degree at Dixie State University (formerly known as Dixie State College of 10 august Volume 1 Issue 008 As the next CEO of the Navajo Nation & Navajo Nation President, Diné Binaat’áanii, I carry the following VISION, VALUES & PLANS to help our Navajo people and nation. OUR SHARED VISION In order for our people and nation to survive and continue to thrive, WE NEED TO LAY THE FOUNDATIONS ing the Navajo Nation into the 21st century while enriching the roots of our Navajo heritage. Government Transformation Revamp the Navajo government according to 21st century laws, business practices, human resources management, ethics and market. Also, restructuring of executive departments (eliminate unnecessary departments, positions, processes, etc.) Enriching our Diné roots Invest, strengthen, promote and keep sacred our Dine heritage: land, resources, language, history and culture. I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate in this year’s election. I truly believe we need to integrate our young people into the Navajo Nation government at all levels, so that we can ensure progression, not just change as we secure an economic growth and development appropriate for our future generations.
