for Boy Lad. Haha I always feel
I’ll go back to Crow traditional
when I’m unable to fancy.
THE RESOURCE - How do
you think your Heritage will
play a role in your future?
There is still a lot to learn about
who I am as an Apsaalooke and
I think the preservation of Native culture is an on going need
in every tribe and every family
which will be passed down to
my children as well.
THE RESOURCE - Any advice
for those that would like to get
into fancy dancing? I would
say dance your tribes original
style first and then adopt fancy. Know the history of where it
comes from. When you dance,
dance for the joy of being alive.
Don’t worry bout being competitive or winning money. When
you dance for the right reasons,
then blessings will come upon
you naturally.
THE RESOURCE - What inspired you to begin creating
music? Being a Dj and listening to all kinds of music always
inspired me to create my own
or add certain sounds to something else. Also, my faith in
God. I felt like this would be a
great tool to reach out and be
a good influence to all listeners.
try to mimic the styles that I enjoy listening to like Xzibit, Sticky
Fingaz, Eminem. Beat selection, I tend to lean toward the
east coast 90’s style, like Dj Primeir, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder.
They create music that I enjoy

THE RESOURCE - What genre

THE RESOURCE - What are
the main topics or themes for

Also a lot of humor as well.
THE RESOURCE - How would
you describe yourself as
an artist? A spiritual emcee! I
would say I’m a hip hop lyricist
who concentrates more on the

THE RESOURCE - Where did
your stage name originate
from? I was heading to a Dj
battle and I didn’t have a real
Dj name. I was calling myself Dj
Chris, which was wack. So my
partner said you need something that represents good but
still punishes his enemies. So
we thought of Superman, plus it
was off the wall and bold which
would make people interested in who was calling himself
Supaman. Haha

THE RESOURCE - What has
been your biggest challenge
with your music? Keeping
the dream alive. You put your
heart and soul in to this music
and it feels like people just don’t
care about it because your not
on the radio or TV. So it makes
you question yourself and if it’s
worth the effort. So the biggest
challenge is my own mind.
THE RESOURCE - Right now,
who do you look up to? I look
up to Lecrae right now. He has
maintained his faith in his music
and has achieved grammy status touring all over the world.
That shows me that listeners
want something positive and
are tired of the same ol
