Dear Reader,
I recently spoke at a church, and a young couple kept hanging around our book table until almost everyone else had gone home. I could tell there was something on their minds, and finally, as the young father took their toddler out to the car, the mother stepped up to purchase a copy of my book, Saving Our Children in a World Gone Crazy. She suddenly looked right at me and said,“ For the last several weeks, we have been having serious discussions about how we will educate our daughter.” She told me that if they were to enroll her in the Christian school associated with the church, it would require significant sacrifice. The presentation I gave that morning had spoken deeply to her, and now she realized she had a big decision to make. I spent a few minutes encouraging her and hopefully helping her to see that when you give a child a biblical worldview education, it is a much greater gift to them than if you leave them millions of dollars at the end of life. I don’ t know the end of this young couple’ s story, but I believe they will make sure their daughter develops a biblical worldview in their home and through her education.
If you are a parent, grandparent, pastor, or educator, God has given you a high and holy calling to make sure the children He has placed in your care come to know, love, and serve Him. This means you are to protect them from Satan’ s lies until they are mature enough to defend their own faith, and you are to fill their hearts and minds with God’ s truth all day every day( Deut. 6:4-9).
