Prayer is the strongest weapon in our arsenal. It’ s time we take the necessary steps toward learning how to wield this weapon effectively.
L ike it or not, we are in a spiritual battle for the hearts, minds, and souls of our children, grandchildren, and all future generations.“ We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places”( Eph. 6:12). The personal storms raging against us and our families— alcohol abuse, depression, divorce, eating disorders, peer pressure, pornography, suicide, and more— are a result of his cunning and vicious handiwork.
Spiritual battles need spiritual weapons. Prayer is the strongest weapon in our arsenal. It’ s time we take the necessary steps toward learning how to wield this weapon effectively: Having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Becoming intentional about prayer. Praying daily. Praying persistently. Modeling prayer to the next generation.
