My favorite memories of Christmas would have to be the Christmas programs at our little country church , where my father was the pastor . I still remember the white sheet hung as a curtain for the homespun Christmas play and the Christmas piece given to each child to recite . And how could we ever forget the bag of candy given to one and all on Christmas Sunday as we walked out the door ? These memories bring a smile to my face and warm my heart even as I write this .

Phillip :
We put a lot of emphasis on taking a yearly vacation despite the traveling schedule when I was growing up . This would have been a large portion of my childhood memories . We would take trips to Disney , Dollywood in Pigeon Forge , and many other places . These vacations were a highlight of my childhood , to say the very least !
