attending church are other means by which the couple tries
to instill biblical values into their children’s lives. “We tell
them often that Jesus loves them,” she said.
While Brooklyn, who holds a degree in business manage-
ment, had a straightforward trajectory into full-time music
ministry, William’s path was different. “My goal was to
design automobiles,” he said. “When we first got married, I
was still in college and ran a contracting business, so trav-
eling full time was difficult. I was in school for mechanical
engineering, and the opportunity came up to job shadow an
engineer and see the world I was about to enter. God began
to show me that He had a different plan for my life.”
Around the time of the job shadowing experience, the
opportunity to drive the bus for The Collingsworth Family
became available. “That was an easy decision. I love travel-
ing and would do anything to be with Brooklyn!” William
stated. Eventually, he learned to mix audio for the family’s
live performances and developed a passion for enhancing

the group’s YouTube channel. “I have always been a techni-
cally-minded person, but this is the job I love that I never
knew I even wanted. It’s amazing how God works things out
in our lives if we are just wanting to do His will!”
William and Brooklyn value the ministry God has given
them with The Collingsworth Family, but they also cherish
their time at home. For Brooklyn, daily home life involves
cooking, cleaning, laundry, taking kids to the library or to
see their grandparents, and enhancing her job skills through
professional vocal training. “All I can say to other moms is
that I am right there in the thick of it with you! Having just
a few minutes of quiet time in the morning with the Lord
before the craziness begins can be the difference in having a
really good day or a really hard one,” she said.
William remodels flip houses and works as the proper-
ty manager for Phil and Kim’s real estate company, but
he focuses on his family when he gets home. “We make
evenings at home more structured for the kids,” he said.
“With our lifestyle and living half our lives out of a suitcase,
the security provided in our home is crucial to them having
a balanced life.”
William summarized his young family’s focus: “Our goal
isn’t to be a big name in any industry. Name recognition
on earth only goes that far. We are the hands and feet of
Jesus. We have been commissioned to carry the gospel and
communicate it to the next generation. By God’s grace and
help, we will continue to do so!” ■
