Dear Reader,
As this edition of The Renewanation Review was being prepared,
I was busy crisscrossing the country challenging, encouraging,
and motivating people to get involved in the great cause of giving
children a biblical worldview.
I had the privilege of speaking to groups of pastors, educators,
parents, and grandparents. Even though not all of them have
embraced the cause like our team at Renewanation has, I am
sensing something new. Most of the Christian schools I visited are
growing once again. Pastors are taking a new look at the influence
of education on the children in their care, and even public school
parents are beginning to realize they must work very diligently to offset the secular teaching their children are
receiving in their local schools. Homeschool families continue to grow and are some of the most committed to the
development of a biblical worldview in the hearts and minds of their children.
I have also had the privilege of meeting with phenomenal men and women who are making significant investments
in the great cause of giving children a biblical worldview.
We are praying for a new grassroots movement to develop. In the 1960s-1980s God created an organic Christian
school movement that exploded into thousands of Christian schools. That movement is responsible for several
million adult Christians who are carrying on the Christian faith in America and around the world. In the 1990s, to
our current day, God created the organic, Christian homeschool movement that has produced millions of young
adult Christians who are living out their faith today. We are now asking God to create an even larger movement
that will envelop the evangelical church in America. This movement will embrace an “all of the above approach” to
giving children a biblical worldview and will involve local churches getting serious about teaching children biblical
worldview in their churches as well as supporting Christian schools, homeschools, and ministries training public
school students. We are so excited that Dr. Josh Mulvihill, the new Executive Director of our Church and Family
Ministry Division, will be leading Renewanation’s efforts to help churches join this movement.
I encourage you to read through this edition of The Renewanation Review magazine and then pass it on to other
Christian leaders in your world. Together, we can and will see millions of new children falling in love with Jesus and
developing a biblical worldview.
Renewing our nation, one child at a time,
