You say the stars make us seem insignificant
But I disagree
I think that one of the most significant things in this life
Is that we were born into the same universe as the stars
The same universe as the man in the moon
And the shining fireflies
A universe so full of light
That even night is not black
A universe where light is so unavoidable
That it shines out of our eyes and our smiles
That it consumes our souls
With feelings like faith and hope and joy and love
We are born with 10 million blessings
The blessing to see those stars and hear the crickets chirp
The blessing to love one another and to be loved in return
The blessing of creativity and imagination
The blessing of light
And that my dear
Is the most significant thing of all
So the next time you feel small
Look up at the stars
And know how significant you really are
