Elon Musk said we should be concerned about AI and warned companies working on it.
SpaceX and Tesla Inc, and also one of the biggest opposers of the terrifying progress of technology and AI, always warned about the threat that comes with too much technology, and that one day robots will control our lives, and may kill us too. Musk said— during the National Governors Association Summer Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island, U. S— that we should be concerned about AI and warned companies working on it to slow down. Musk said that AI is a“ Fundamental existential risk for human civilization”. Musk said that there must be an oversight on google’ s AI technologies and it must not be controlled by a few people. In Musk’ s opinion, AI is the biggest threat we face right now, and it needs to be controlled without waiting for a disaster to happen. He said that he feels the threat and danger behind AI and that one day we will see robots marching in streets killing people. He justified his point of view saying that companies working on AI will be crushed if they do not work quickly enough to cope with the others, and they do not like to be told to regulate their work. He thinks that when time is safe and they are convinced
July 2018 Issue they can continue otherwise; they have to slow down to avoid the risks could happen. On this side also stood one of the greatest physicists ever; Stephen Hawking and he declared that he is concerned that one day AI would replace humans.“ If people design computer viruses, someone will design AI that improves and replicates itself. This will be a new form of life that outperforms humans.” Said Hawking. Hawking called for controlling technology and its development otherwise, it will destroy the human race and put the human civilization in danger. He also expressed his fears that the massive progress in AI will accomplish its goals, so we have to align those goals otherwise we are in danger. Now, considering the consequences of super artificial intelligence, first, robots will gradually replace workers; manufacturing workers, cashiers, bankers and even car drivers and unless the efficiency of work rises, unemployment will rise too and economy will fall. Robots will control our lives and may be one day robots will manage to create other robots themselves and replace the human race with a new electronic race living in our land.
So in the end we have to ask if we really need these different type of robots or are we good on our own?
