like to say that it always gets me inspired when I hear the word " SCOPH "— Standing Committee on Public Health — It ' s not very often that you see someone working hard for the subjects related to our community medical care by providing awareness to the public about the current state of global health issues . As a matter of fact and as you all know , nowadays Egypt has the highest number of Hepatitis C patients in all countries . Therefore , it was SCOPH ' s duty to have a word regarding this statistic . It was essential to grab the people ' s attention and tell them " Safe Liver ", but this
24 time it is going to be in BSSS manner .
" Safe Liver " is considered one of the biggest projects within BSSS lifetime at all . It ' s actually the landmark of SCOPH , that aims to set a barrier between Egyptians and all types of Hepatitis viruses " HAV , HBV , HCV , HDV & HEV ". This high number of liver patients , that I mentioned above , comes as a result of people ' s blindness to see the ways of transmission of the disease or how to prevent themselves from getting infected . Thus , our members are initiating campaigns to fight for people ' s orientation about it .
It ' s not only limited to the public . We want to protect the public as well as the doctors . As a result , vaccination is another milestone in this project to immunize our doctors against HBV virus . Yearly , BSSS is approached by many doctors and interns asking for this vaccine and this process is all done by the SCOPHeroes who are registering , organizing and injecting too . All in all , " Safe Liver " has become just like a corporate identity for BSSS .
